Trim and split
Move the playhead, trim the beginning/end, or select a clip and drag an edge. Split retains the original source. Use snapping when a boundary should follow words or cut edges.
Finish
Make elementary corrections directly.
The editor keeps original/source, edited and export time distinct.
Remove and restore
Remove · Close Gap ripples the selection. Delete · Leave Gap intentionally retains black/silent time. Close gaps removes those spaces. Restore head, tail or all brings removed media back.
Navigate precisely
Use Fit, zoom, playhead controls and source/edit views. Export duration follows the current composition, not removed source material. Undo and redo remain available.
Independent audio scope
Detach and slip supported normal-speed single-source audio; use bounded J/L seams. Relink before unsupported picture changes or OTIO export. Exact preview/export carries independent audio; the detached quick proxy is muted. Captions need review at moved boundaries.
