Your licence, your Macs.
One Finish licence covers two Macs. Here is everything you can do yourself.
Where is my licence key?
In your purchase receipt email, and in your order history at the store's customer portal (sign in with your purchase email). Lost it? Use the store's “resend receipt” option or write to support@finish.studio from your purchase email.
How do I activate?
Open Finish → enter your purchase email and licence key → Activate Finish. Activation needs the internet once.
Which Macs are activated?
Finish → Settings → Licence shows “Mac activation 1 of 2” or “2 of 2”. Choose Show my Macs to see their names.
Moving to a new Mac
On the old Mac: Settings → Licence → Deactivate this Mac. Then activate on the new Mac. Your projects are never affected by activation.
My old Mac is broken or gone
Write to support@finish.studio from your purchase email with the Mac's name if you know it. We free its seat, then you activate the replacement.
Does Finish need the internet?
Only to activate and, occasionally, to refresh your licence. Editing, Cooking and exporting work offline. If you are offline when a refresh is due, Finish keeps working.
What happens after my 12 months of updates?
Your licence is perpetual: you keep using Finish, including every version released during your update period. Later versions are optional; you may buy another update period when one is offered. Nothing is switched off.
What if I'm not licensed?
You can open, edit and review everything. New exports carry a small corner mark until you activate. Your projects and finished videos are never locked or deleted.
