A practical workflow from expertise to publishable video
Keep each step small enough to finish.
Plan the explanation
Write the one question, the audience and the useful next step. Record in your own words with enough context to remain accurate. Keep the original file and choose a project name you can find again. Use non-sensitive material when evaluating a new tool.
Direct the first production
In New Production, add your footage. Optional references belong in the separate Reference Style area. Describe the result, choose an approach or let Finish decide, and read the Finish Plan. A clear direction reduces avoidable mismatches without requiring you to specify every edit.
Review in two passes
First watch for meaning: continuity, missing context, uncertain words and whether the ending completes the point. Then check presentation: caption fit, framing, sound balance and any distracting creative choice. Use direct timeline controls for a correction instead of automatically recooking the entire project.
Export and learn
Watch the exported file from beginning to end. Check the duration and destination framing. Record one thing that worked and one thing that caused friction. A repeatable workflow improves from those observations; it does not require a new tool or creative strategy for every recording.
